Jim Daly
President and CEO of Focus on the Family

Jim Daly is president of Focus on the Family, a global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive, and host of its National Radio Hall of Fame-honored daily broadcast, heard by 2.9 million people each week.

Orphaned at 9, Daly became a Christian in high school and found meaning and a sense of belonging for the first time in his life.

"I am living proof," he wrote in his 2007 autobiography, Finding Home, "that no matter how torn up the road has already been, or how pothole-infested it may look ahead, nothing -- nothing -- is impossible for God."

Daly assumed the presidency of Focus on the Family in 2005 after 16 years with the ministry in several executive roles, primarily in marketing, donor relations and international partnerships.

He has received the 2008 World Children's Center Humanitarian Award, the 2009 Children's Hunger Fund Children's Champion Award, and the 2010 HomeWord Family Ministry Award. He is also a regular panelist for The Washington Post/Newsweek blog "On Faith."

Daly's second book, Stronger, was released in August 2010. He and his wife, Jean, have two sons and live in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Joanne Jelle

Joanne Jelle is an adoptive mom and a recently retired public elementary school educator.  Three and a half years ago in response to a growing need for adoptive parent support, education and training, she and her husband Paul started a ministry called Heart to Heart, at Valley Springs Presbyterian Church in Roseville.

Under the guidance of therapist and adoptive parent Carla DeRose MFT, Heart to Heart addresses the parenting needs of adopted children who struggle with bonding and self regulation.
